After the changes in the calendar of the Czech Rally Championships 2020, the 47th edition of Rally Bohemia took the role of the opening round. Thus, fans and competitors will inaugurate the competition in the national championship in Mlada Boleslav - the cradle of Czech motorsport. The rally league behind the southern Polish border has got used to a very strong cast, but the list of crews that will compete on Saturday morning looks impressive.

There were over 120 teams representing 9 nationalities. Among the first 26 starting numbers, supporters will see as many as 22 cars of the R5 category and three WRCs. This group will feature also Polish competitors, and the crew that received the highest starting number will be Tomasz Kasperczyk and Damian Syty. The duo's weapon will be Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, for which Rallytechnology is responsible.

In their second start in Volkswagen, they will debut on special stages set around Mlada Boleslav. The organizer has prepared 18 trials and nearly 160 km of rally racing. It will be an important stage of preparation for the upcoming Rzeszów Rally and the fight for the points of the Polish Rally Championships for the team.


Robert Gabryszewski (Rallytechnology team manager): Since the start at Tarmac Masters, our preparations for the season have been gaining momentum. We still have to wait to the start of the RSMP 2020, but we are trying to make the most of this time. We treat Rally Bohemia primarily in training, but looking at the list of applications you can be tempted to say that it will be training from the top shelf - two intense days and very valuable kilometers traveled.

We are highly motivated before the next joint start with Tomek and Damian in the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. Strong international cast, challenging routes and great atmosphere. It's good to come back to the Czech special stages.
