RALLY HUNGARY OF THE ERC 2019 FINAL
- POLOŃSKI AND SITEK FIGHTING FOR THE ABARTH CUP

We are only one rally weekend away from resolving the competition on the Old Continent. The arena of the final fight will be the special asphalt sections of the Hungarian Rally, which has been included in the European Championship calendar this year. The event will select, among others, the winner of the general classification of the FIA ERC. Chris Ingram, Łukasz Habaj and the European Champion of 2018 - Alexey Lukyanuk all have a chance to win the championship title in 2019.

Łukasz Habaj and Daniel Dymurski are not the only Polish crew that will compete for a high stake this weekend. The rivalry in the Abarth Rally Cup also awaits resolution. Dariusz Poloński and Łukasz Sitek maintain their second position, and with 94 points they are still able to threaten the leaders, and in the debut season in Abarth 124 Rally reach for the most valuable trophy. Andrea Nucita and Bernardo Di Caro have eight points of advantage over Rallytechnology's crew before this rally. The high result achieved in Hungary will also give Polonski and Sitek a chance to be on the podium among other ERC 2 category crews.

The Rallytechnology team will compete with a clearly set goal to reach for the second winning round of the Abarth Cup, after Rally di Roma Capitale. Janos Puskadi and Barnabas Godor will also score points for the team from Rybnik. Representatives of the host will drive a Skoda Fabia R5 evo in the latest available specifications.

The schedule of the rally, planned for the next three days, comprises over 210 km of racing, divided into 14 trials. The first one of them, a less than 2.5 km prologue, will take place on Friday evening. The longest stage is the Saturday one, and in turn the longest stretch, of almost 27.5 km, will take place on Sunday. On that day also the winners, champions and final results will be announced.

Robert Gabryszewski (Rallytechnology team manager): For the first time since the 2015 season, the European Championship series will end with an asphalt race, but in the 1st Rally of Hungary there will also be gravel connecting stages and trials in the dark. The routes are marked out by fast, winding and wooded parts, which in combination with rainy and foggy weather can create a very slippery, demanding mix. The configuration and specificity of the stages is a new challenge for many drivers, so we have a really interesting ERC ending coming ahead of us.

It's going to be a difficult weekend, but we've been looking forward to this start and we will start with a maximal focus. We can safely say that Darek Poloński and Łukasz Sitek have done a great job and are well prepared for the final duel. Our rivals are closer to the title in the Abarth Cup, but this weekend may shift the balance to our side, so this is our focus. Keep your fingers crossed for Darek and Łukasz and for the Puskadi / Godor duo joining Rallytechnology. Stay with us – we are setting off to conquer Rally Hungary 2019.
